Primary Research Group, Inc. combines surveying with secondary research and forecasting to provide sophisticated overviews of markets and business environment conditions for business, government and higher education. Established in 1990 and located in the heart of New York City, the company publishes research reports and conducts survey research for various organizations. Primary Research Group has an especially strong background in conducting surveys of institutions. Current research projects include those focused on the following areas: collection development policies for libraries, and law firm cost structure and managment practices. We are actively recruiting law firms with 10 or more partners to participate in a major survey of technology purchasing and management practices. Primary Research Group has also recently completed a major survey of Americans aged 50 and over, which queried this audience about their purchasing and lifesyle habits in the abroad range of areas, including but not restricted to their use of: alternative medicine, sports and health clubs, use of medical and dental services, use of anti-aging products, use of Viagra, use of sleep aid products and services, drug store purchasing habits, use of health-related web sites, use of health foods and specialized diets, and use of vitamins and supplements.

Reports that will be issued in the fourth quarter of 2004 will treat other facets of the purhasing habits and lifestyles of mature Americans, including: spending on toys, books, video games, and athletic equipment for grandchildren; use of credit cards, travelers checks, investment advice and other financial services, domestic and foreign travel plans, use of casinos and other gambling establishments, preferences among hotel and motel chains, and use of cruise lines.
